Battery-less Bluetooth tag start-up raises $30m

Wilt is developing a battery-less Bluetooth transponder for tagging, labelling and tracking goods.

It could be embedded in clothes to tell the washing machine the correct wash.

Wiliot has now raised a total of $50 million. Previous investors have been Qualcomm Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, 83North Venture Capital, Grove Venture Partners, and M Ventures.
