40V 3x3mm mosfets handles 300W for car powertrains
Called BUK7M3R3-40H (or BUK9M3R3-40H for logic level), the AEC-Q101 devices feature an Rds(on) of 3.3mΩ and are intended to switch 30W to 300W – allowing them to replace larger DPAKs in some applications.
The firm has used its Trench 9 super-junction technology inside – for its low on-resistance, avalanche capability and safe operating area.

“Especially in applications such as water, fuel and oil pumps, and engine filters, said Nexperia’s product manager Richard Ogden, “our Trench 9 automotive LFPAK33 mosfets are a good fit for these thermally-demanding powertrain systems, since the LFPAK absorbs thermal stresses.”
Other applications foreseen include parking brakes, airbag, LED lighting, seat control, seat heating, window lift and driver infotainment.
